A one day workshop on ‘Kinesics in Social Work’

was organized by Post Graduate Department of Social work, Milagres
College, Kallianpur on Sept7, 2011. The Workshop was inaugurated by
Dr. Nery Cornelio, Principal Milagres College, Dr. Ajith D’souza,
Dean of M.S.W delivered the keynote address, Mr. Rayan Charls
Mathias, Forum co-ordinator welcomed the gathering, Ms. Ashwini
Forum president thanked the gathering, Mrs. Renita D’souza, director
Asha Jyothi(R), Surathkal was the facilitator for the workshop.
During the workshop Mrs. Renita D’souza addressed the issues on
handshake, emotional related behavior, hands position, sitting ,
seating arrangements, hand gestures, smile and breathing
calibration.
Seventy students from ten social work colleges participated in the
workshop. |

Wokshop on Origamay for High School students |

Workshop on origamy (use of Paper to prepare
Science and Maths Model) was organised in Milagres College
Kallianpur in association with regional science centre, Pilikula
Mangalore on 26\8\11. Mr Nagesh Shananboque B E O Brahmavar
region inaugurated the work shop He called upon students to
enjoy maths and science by preparing models. . Dr K V Rao the
secretary of Regional science centre was the chief guest. MR A S
Sastry of Kolar was the resource persons. Prof Hilda Rodrigues
the incharge principal presided. Dr Gerald Pinto the Dean of
Science was the co-ordinator. 120 students from 10 high Schools
participated.

Career Guidance Workshop |

With self confidence if go ahead we can succeed in life said Prof.
Harshavrdana Shetty, Prof of MSW of M V Shetty College Mangalore.
He was speaking as a resource person in the career counseling
workshop training the students How to face Interview organised by
Career Guidance Cell of Milagres College on 28.08.2011 in the silver
Jubilee Hall. Prof. Rayan Mathaias trained the students about group
discussion and Prof Banashankari trained about how to prepare C.V
and application form.
Principal incharge Prof. Hilda Rrodrigues presided. Dr Gerald
Pinto convener of career guidance cell and the programme was
present. Anut T Raj welcomed and vasuda proposed vote of thanks.
